The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing competent evaluation and treatment to in-patients and/or out-patients in compliance with Manatee Memorial Hospital policies, standards and philosophy, JCAHO standards and the AOTA Code of Ethics. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
* Ability to provide interventions to individuals who experience a loss of and/or deficiency in functional independence
related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to problem solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
* Ability to plan and organize.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Bachelor or Master of Science Degree from an accredited college/university.
Prefer one year of experience for the outpatient setting.
Current OTR licensure in Florida.
For peds/NICU services must have advanced training in pediatrics as indicated by proof of attendance at courses and/or letter of reference from a mentor.
BLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
