We Are Hiring

If caring is your calling, join Sacred Heart as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse. In the ICU, you are a patient advocate!
What you will do
Our 40 bed Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) has a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio which enables our patients to receive the best care possible.
To help provide visibility of critically ill patients on the U-shaped unit, closed-circuit video cameras in each room transmit real-time views of the patients to large monitors at the nursing station and substations. Abundant glass interior walls in each room allow physicians and staff to see the patients from adjacent workstations. Large digital clocks on the wall in each room are synchronized within the unit and are highly visible to physicians and staff who must document accurate timing of patients' treatment. Workrooms between the two hallways were designed with glass windows on the doors to allow staff to see through from one hallway to the other.
Required Credentials:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition \"Compact State\" obtained prior to hire date.
    • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
Work Experience:
  • 1-year Nursing experience
